Oriental, Singapore

I took a shot of the famous tourist attraction, the Merlion, from my hotel room at the Oriental.

First, taking the actual view from my window.

Then slowly zooming in until I get the best view of the water-spitting lion.

Grand Hyatt, Singapore

A view from my room at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Singapore. Not much of a view, but the hotel is located just a block from Orchard Road and that's good enough for me, or for any other tourist for the matter.

Nonetheless, every time I'm in the Lion City, I see to it that I get to visit Sim Lim Square (for computer stuff) as well as Sim Lim Tower (for electronic spare parts).

Amari Watergate, Bangkok

Here's the view from my room at the Amari Watergate Hotel in Petchburi Road, Bangkok, Thailand.

I attended the Juniper Networks Asia-Pacific J-Partner Summit 2006 and stayed in the city for three days. In the picture is Bangkok's tallest building - Baiyoke II.

Good thing I was booked in the area because it's near Pantip Plaza- a place for PC enthusiasts. Plenty of computer stuff and a 2nd-hand haven of PC hardware. Good prices too. Love it there.

Oriental, Singapore

A nice panoramic shot of the Singapore skyline from my second trip to Singpore in May, attending the Grid Asia 2006 event.

Once again, the view was from my hotel room at the Oriental.
For the nth time, Oracle brought me here, and I'm not complaining.

Conrad, Hong Kong

A view from my hotel room at the Conrad in Hong Kong. This time, I attended the 3G World Congress with Siemens sponsoring my overnight stay (needed to go to Singapore the next day), also in November of 2005.

If you look closely, you could see my reflection on the next door glass window taking the photo.

Three trips in one month, not bad.

I almost forgot. This is a view from my hotel room at the Waterfront in Lahug, Cebu City. Note the rainbow in the right side. I attended the ICT Forum in July of 2004 with Globe Telecom as the sponsor for the trip. I can't remember how many times I've been to this city.

Pan Pacific, Singapore

Again, a view from my hotel room at the Pan Pacific Hotel from my Oracle presscon trip in Singapore in October 2004.

The trip coincided with the Multimedia Arts Asia Pacific (MAAP) Festival held at the National Institute of Education and the Sound Tunnel at the Esplanade.

Sound tracks from my soundart group called Children of Cathode Ray with video-artist Tad Ermitano, and Autoceremony, my own solo effort on experimental msuic, were part of the multimedia art exhibition. It was the first international exhibition of our work in experimental digital audio synthesis and music deconstruction.

Our group also performed at The Library in Takeshimaya and at the Sub-Station, an art-house located at the corner of Armenian St. and Stamford Road.

Aqua Restaurant, Hong Kong

No, this not a view from my hotel room in Hong Kong - my girlfriend and I stayed at the Marco Polo at Harbour City with a lousy view.

Nonetheless, the fantastic view of the Hong Kong island skyline can be seen from Aqua, a rather high-end restaurant (good thing we didn't pay for our lunch! Thanks Bien) at the penthouse of One Peking Road located at Tsim Sha Tsui Kowloon side.

The IFC Tower on the right side of the photo is one of the tallest building in the world.

Wonderful view, don't you think so?

This is my third trip to Hong Kong, and I just love this city.

First Hotel, Bangkok

This one is a view from my hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand. The name of the place is First Hotel near Petchburi road. Not bad, because there are a lot of bargain shopping places in the area, not to mention Pantip Plaza- the computer center of Bangkok.

Netopia Philippines invited me for the opening of their first overseas branch located at the MBK Mall in August of 2004.

Bangkok is so exciting that I extended my three-day stay for another two days.
