Taal Vista Lodge, Tagaytay City

The view from my hotel room at Taal Vista Lodge in Tagaytay City, Philippines. Unfortunately, you could not see the wonders of Taal Volcano from this side of the hotel. However, what you could only see from the photo is part of the Taal crater lake where the world's smallest volcano is also located, on the far left that is.

Miniloc, Palawan Island

Here's a fantastic view from my cottage at Miniloc Island Resort located in El Nido, Palawan, one of the Northern island groups southwest of the Phillipines. This is my fifth visit to El Nido since 2002, staying at Miniloc for the third time; the other two were at Lagen, a sister island resort of Miniloc about 20 minutes boat ride away. Try visiting this place once you're in our country - it's paradise on Earth.

Plaza Athenee, Bangkok

Here's my view from the hotel room on my visit to Bangkok last November 21. I stayed at Hotel Plaza Athenee, located on Wireless Rd.- walking distance (a bit of a long walk) from Suan Lum night market. Also, a train ride away from MBK Mall (a place to buy Japanese collectible toys) and Pantip Computer Plaza (a favorite IT place of mine). I was in the Thai Capital for 3 days attending the Intel Wireless Mobility Day media briefing.

Excelsior Hotel, Hong Kong

My rather tight view of Hong Kong island's Causeway Bay from my room at the 17th floor of Excelsior Hotel.

At the back of the hotel are Lochart and Wan Chai Roads- a place for shopping and plenty of toy shops.

I went to Hong Kong by the invitation of Vanco, a London-based virtual network operator (VNO), launching their new web portal called Vanco NetDirect held in a media conference at the Hong Kong Cyberport.

Grand Hyatt, Singapore

A view from my room at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Singapore. Not much of a view, but the hotel is located just a block from Orchard Road and that's good enough for me, or for any other tourist for the matter.

Nonetheless, every time I'm in the Lion City, I see to it that I get to visit Sim Lim Square (for computer stuff) as well as Sim Lim Tower (for electronic spare parts).

Amari Watergate, Bangkok

Here's the view from my room at the Amari Watergate Hotel in Petchburi Road, Bangkok, Thailand.

I attended the Juniper Networks Asia-Pacific J-Partner Summit 2006 and stayed in the city for three days. In the picture is Bangkok's tallest building - Baiyoke II.

Good thing I was booked in the area because it's near Pantip Plaza- a place for PC enthusiasts. Plenty of computer stuff and a 2nd-hand haven of PC hardware. Good prices too. Love it there.

A nice panoramic shot of the Singapore skyline from my second trip to Singpore in May, attending the Grid Asia 2006 event.

Once again, the view was from my hotel room at the Oriental.
For the nth time, Oracle brought me here, and I'm not complaining.

A view from my hotel room at the Conrad in Hong Kong. This time, I attended the 3G World Congress with Siemens sponsoring my overnight stay (needed to go to Singapore the next day), also in November of 2005.

If you look closely, you could see my reflection on the next door glass window taking the photo.

Three trips in one month, not bad.

Again, a view from my hotel room at the Pan Pacific Hotel from my Oracle presscon trip in Singapore in October 2004.

The trip coincided with the Multimedia Arts Asia Pacific (MAAP) Festival held at the National Institute of Education and the Sound Tunnel at the Esplanade.

Sound tracks from my soundart group called Children of Cathode Ray with video-artist Tad Ermitano, and Autoceremony, my own solo effort on experimental msuic, were part of the multimedia art exhibition. It was the first international exhibition of our work in experimental digital audio synthesis and music deconstruction.
